CHILDREN'S CLASSES IN DOVER

We believe that dance is for both boys and girls of all ages and abilities. Our friendly teachers aim to build technique, develop rhythm, improve coordination and help to form friendships through a shared love of dance. Our fun and creative classes not only teach creativity but they also help to instil confidence. Children will have the opportunity to take examinations with the ISTD under recommendation by their teacher.

Can complete beginners join?

Yes, complete beginners are very welcome to join at any point. Our primary ballet and tap class is aimed for childen aged 5-7 years, making it the ideal class for our babyballet stars to graduate to. Entering into ISTD examinations is at the teachers approval when the student is ready.
Will I need any specific clothing or equipment for classes?

Uniform will be mandatory for children attending class at The Dance Pointe. A selection of uniform will be available to purchase via our online shop: dap.mydancestore.co.uk Hair is to be pulled neatly back into a classical ballet bun. You can also purchase TDP branded dance wear from our online shop, branded dance wear can also be personalised with dancers' name: rockthedragon.co.uk/dance/thedancepointe Please also ensure that children attend class with a bottle of water.
Can I take private ballet classes?

Private classes are available at a time and day of your convenience, if your child would like to strengthen their knowledge and cement their skills learnt during our group classes. We charge £20 an hour plus hire of space. Please email hello@thedancepointe.co.uk for further information.
How do I make payment?

We offer a 3 week trial for £18, after this point if your child would like to continue, classes are £6.50 each payable in advance on a half termly basis. Please book a 3 week trial by heading to our book a lesson page.
